Description
Seeed Studio BeagleBone Green (BBG) – 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 Development Board
The Seeed Studio BeagleBone Green (BBG) is a compact, open-source, Linux-based single board computer designed for embedded development, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, industrial automation, and electronic prototyping. Developed through a collaboration between Seeed Studio and BeagleBoard.org, it builds upon the BeagleBone Black hardware platform with integrated Grove connectors for simplified sensor and module interfacing.
Powered by the Texas Instruments Sitara AM3358 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, the BeagleBone Green features 512MB DDR3 RAM and 4GB onboard eMMC flash storage, providing a versatile platform for running Linux-based embedded applications.
The board includes two Grove connectors (I2C and UART) for connecting compatible Grove sensors and modules, reducing the need for additional wiring or soldering. It also features two 46-pin expansion headers, a USB 2.0 host port, micro USB connectivity, a microSD card slot, and 10/100Mbps Ethernet for networking and peripheral integration.
With support for Debian Linux, Python, and other embedded development tools, the BeagleBone Green is suitable for developers, students, researchers, and engineers building connected devices, automation controllers, and intelligent embedded systems.
