MOC7811 Slotted Opto Isolator Module (Encoder Sensor)

SKU: VS00044

Description

MOC7811 Slotted Opto Isolator Module (Encoder Sensor)

The MOC7811 Slotted Opto Isolator Module (Encoder Sensor) is a compact optical interrupter designed for non-contact position, speed and motion detection. It consists of an infrared emitting diode and a silicon phototransistor positioned opposite each other inside a slotted plastic housing. When an object, encoder disc or other obstruction passes through the slot, it interrupts the infrared beam and changes the output state of the phototransistor.

The MOC7811 is widely used in robotics, motor control, rotary encoders, position detection, object counting and automation systems. Its slotted construction provides reliable optical switching without physical contact, helping reduce mechanical wear. The through-hole terminals and mounting holes make the sensor convenient for integration into PCBs, prototypes and custom electronic assemblies.
