APDS-9930 Digital Proximity and Ambient Light Sensor
The APDS9930 Digital Proximity & Ambient Light Sensor Module is a compact optical sensing board that integrates both proximity detection and ambient light measurement in a single device. It uses the APDS9930 sensor IC, which combines an IR LED, photodiodes, and signal processing circuitry. The module communicates via the I²C interface, making it easy to integrate with microcontrollers for touchless detection, gesture sensing, and automatic brightness control.
