Description
7Semi FFC FPC 40 Pin Adapter Board PCB 0.5mm
The 7Semi FFC/FPC 40-Pin Adapter Board is a passive adapter PCB that converts a 40-pin flexible flat cable (FFC/FPC) with 0.5 mm pitch into a standard 2.54 mm (0.1″) header or solder-pad footprint. This allows modules using 40-pin FFC connectors (e.g. displays, camera modules, sensor arrays) to be easily interfaced with breadboards, perfboards, or standard PCBs without a dedicated FFC footprint.
Technical Specifications:
- Supported Connector: 40-pin FFC / FPC cable (0.5 mm pitch)
- Breakout Format: All 40 signal lines routed to 2.54 mm header pins or solder pads / through-hole pins
- Board Type: Passive adapter / breakout PCB (no active components)
- Mounting Options: Header pins (for plug-in) or solder pads/traces (for fixed wiring)
- Compatibility: Works with microcontrollers, SBCs, or custom PCBs expecting standard pin spacing - removes need for custom 0.5 mm-pitch layout
Features:
- Converts fine-pitch 0.5 mm FFC/FPC connectors to standard 2.54 mm header spacing - simplifies wiring and prototyping.
- Supports 40 signal lines - suitable for complex FFC modules (high-pin-count displays, camera interfaces, data buses).
- Compact adapter board - minimal footprint addition while enabling flexibility.
- Enables use of FFC modules in breadboard/perfboard prototyping or standard PCB designs.
- Choice of header pins or direct soldering - useful for both temporary prototypes and permanent hardware builds.
Applications:
- Connecting 40-pin FFC-based display modules to microcontrollers or SBCs (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
- Camera modules, sensor arrays, or other high-pin-count FFC peripherals integration in prototypes
- Embedded system development where a proper FFC footprint is not available or convenient
- DIY electronics and maker projects using high-pin-count FFC components
- Rapid prototyping of hardware before committing to a custom PCB layout
- Bridging between flat-cable modules and standard pin-based wiring setups
- Small-scale manufacturing or product prototyping requiring flexible connectivity
